Why choose pine?

Without even realising it, pine wood has become a very important part of our homes.   Much of the furniture that many home owners possess is created from pine.

If you are looking to re-decorate your home and give it a fresh new look then pine furniture should defiantly be a consideration.   From chairs, tables, beds, cupboards and wardrobes, pine furniture can be used to add style to any home.

There are a number of advantages of choosing pine over other woods when considering purchasing furniture.   Firstly it has a lot of character.   The many knots, blemishes and natural grain effects that you find in pine make each individual piece unique, and therefore each individual furniture item distinctive.   Pine is also generally less expensive than other woods such as maple and oak.

Furthermore, if you are not particularly fond of the look of natural pine, there are a variety of stains available which can cover any blemishes, enrich the colour and co-ordinate the furniture to match any room in your home.

In addition to the above, pine trees are grown in a sustainable forest which gives us piece of mind when purchasing an item of pine furniture.   Knowing that pine trees as a resource are sustained leaves us safe in the knowledge that the environment has been taken in to consideration.
