Outdoor and Garden Furniture

Pine furniture is not only the perfect choice for your home, but it is also a great choice for your garden. Generally speaking, a lot of money is spent on wooden furniture for the inside of your home.

From tables to chairs, beds, cabinets, draws, mirror frames and bookshelves - wood is seen throughout the home.  But in the summer months many people prefer to spend more time outdoors than indoors, and all our beautiful wooden indoor furniture is not put to much use.

It's at this time of year that we start to think about cleaning up our gardens, cutting back the trees and bushes, planting new shrubs and investing in some garden furniture.  In the spring time trips to the garden centre at the weekend become a regular occurrence.  And our gardens become our pride and joy.

With lots of barbeques and garden parties planned, new furniture for your garden is the thing on everyone's minds.  And there is lots to choose from.  Metal and wooden frames are the most popular choices as they are both aesthetically pleasing and hardy.  And when choosing wooden furniture, most people opt for pine wood as it is versatile and cheaper than other woods.

Pine wood garden furniture is available in all different shapes and sizes and is suitable for any garden.  It needs to be carefully looked after however as through the winter months if left outdoors it can easily become weather worn.

Storing your garden furniture away in winter months is certainly advisable, however if this is not possible it would be worth while coating your garden furniture in a protective varnish to protect it.  Adding a protective varnish at the beginning of each summer is also advisable as not only does this protect the wood, but it gives it a new lease of life allowing it to last longer.
